CDIS, Inc. has implemented a pro-active safety program to insure our staff and technicians are fully trained on required safety topics and maintain a safe working environment at all times. Reviews are scheduled quarterly along with periodic project safety inspections performed by our Safety Manager and General Manager. Technicians also have weekly safety training by their supervisors. All CDIS, Inc. vehicles are equipped with a safety manual as well as first aid kits. Vehicles are tracked by GeoTracking for safe speed and operation. Ron Hyman - CDIS Safety Manager
Ron Hyman is the CDIS, Inc Safety Manager. His previous experience includes serving 33 years with C&P Telephone of Virginia/Bell Atlantic/Verizon, serving as a Technician, Supervisor and Manager in the Corporate Telecommunications Division from 1970 until retirement in 2003.
He had extensive experience with Verizon as the Division Training Coordinator and Safety Administrator for hundreds of employees,writing methods and procedures for required safety plans and technical operations.
Ron was on the ISO-9000 certification core team leading to the successful awarding of the division’s ISO-9000 certification which included mandatory Safety Work Instructions.
From 2003 to 2009, Ron was employed with TEXCOM, Inc, as their Facility Security Officer, DCJS Compliance Agent and Safety Manager for dozens of employees and assigned company vehicles. He has OSHA 10 hour certification and monitors the safe operation of the CDIS fleet of vehicles in California and Virginia via vehicle electronic tracking and monitoring.
Ron is a retired U.S. Navy Reserve Commander, serving in the aviation field from 1969 to 2002. He has extensive U.S. Navy experience in aviation maintenance, logistics, and extensive quality assurance and safety experience.
Ron is the CDIS Facility Security Officer (FSO), the company’s DCJS (Department of Criminal Justice Services) Compliance Agent, and the Insider Threat Program Senior Official. Active in his community, Ron is an Auxiliary Sheriff’s Deputy Captain with 42 years of continuous volunteer law enforcement experience bringing that training expertise to the business safety model.
